Brad Pitt won Best Supporting Actor for his role in Quentin Tarantino’s Once Upon A Time In Hollywood at the BAFTAs 2020 but he was unable to attend due to family obligations and had Margot Robbie deliver his acceptance speech on his behalf.
Brad Pitt’s speech included a Brexit and Prince Harry joke which Margot Robbie had to deliver in front of all the attendees including Prince William and Kate Middleton.

“Brad couldn’t be here tonight due to family obligations, so he asked me to read his response for him,” Margot began.
“He starts by saying, ‘Hey Britain. Heard you just became single. Welcome to the club! Wishing you the best for the divorce settlement’
He then says, ‘Thank you to the Academy for this extreme honour.’ He says he’s ‘always been a bit intimidated over here given the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts and the Titans that have come before, so this is especially meaningful.’
Margot continued Brad’s speech, ‘He’s gonna name this Harry, because he’s really excited about bringing it back to the States with him.’
The camera quickly caught Prince William and Kate Middleton laughing awkwardly.
Robbie finished quickly saying, “His words, not mine, thanks!”
