Kensington Palace released a series of new photos of Prince Louis, who turned two this year.

The photos were taken by his mother Kate Middleton, the Duchess of Cambridge, earlier in April and shared by Kensington Palace on Instagram. The sweet photos show Prince Louis with rainbow coloured paint on his hands. Prince Louis, whose official birthday was on April 23; celebrated his birthday with his parents Prince William, Catherine and his siblings at Anmer Hall, where the royal family has been self-quarantining.

Princess Charlotte and Prince George are getting an education at home due to the CORONAVIRUS crisis. “The children have got such stamina,” Kate told the BBC in a recent interview. “You pitch a tent, take the tent down again, cook, bake. You get to the end of the day. They’ve had a lovely time, but it’s amazing how much you can cram into a day, that’s for sure.”

Prince William and Kate Middleton have been using Zoom to keep up with their royal responsibilities and keeping in touch with their relatives. “It gets a bit hectic, I’m not going to lie, with the two-year-old,” Kate said in the interview.

“Sharing a sneak peek of Prince Louis’s handiwork ahead of his second birthday!” the Kensington Palace said on Instagram.

Prince Louis ‘s artwork has a special meaning; as children across the country have been painting rainbows and placing them in windows as a symbol of hope during the COVID19 crisis and to honour the work of medical staff on the frontlines of the ongoing pandemic crisis.

Kensington Palace also thanked everyone for Prince Louis birthday wishes, sharing an “Instagram vs Reality” post. “Thank you for your lovely messages on Prince Louis’s second birthday” the palace said on their social media account.
